Nicely done. Montpellier and surroundings is a nice place to spend a few months, at least it was back in 1966. From the seafood and fresh fruit available every morning on the coast to the wonderful interior canyons and in and out of dozens of charming small towns, it is a place to enjoy like the locals do. Back then there was a vibrant Spanish ex pat community who ate late and shared wine and song and dance. The university is good and I hear they have improved the food. I learned less French than I expected which was entirely my own fault. I was charmed by the international community, not rich people, regular people with time to chat.

I haven’t added a bucket list to my blog, but one of mine is to cruise around the world… on a CONTAINER ship! Did you know you can do that? You rent a cabin like the officers have and eat with the ship’s senior staff. You entertain yourself. Usually there are only one to a few such cabins, so this is a better option for introverts like me who love to be at sea but don’t need casinos and nightclubs to have fun.
I also feel compelled to recommend my home region in the USA if you enjoy nature: the Pacific Northwest. Portland, OR and Seattle, WA have become much more popular since I was a young child, but, back then, foreign exchange students always requested NYC or Los Angeles when coming to America to study. Many had never heard of our state before receiving home placements in it.
Within one hour’s drive, you can visit snowy-peaked mountains, arid deserts, deep forests, or ocean beaches. It’s the best place in the USA (in my completely biased opinion!) π

You can really do that?? Sound so COOL! I have to look to that more. I am totally introvert so it would be fitting thing to do for me. Hhmmm… Now I have to also take a better look to your home region. Place that is close to mountains, deserts and ocean can only be a perfect place travel to. Forests don’t interest me that much because we literally don’t have anything else in Finland but all other nature things are totally my thing!
Thanks for the great tips. I will take closer look to them and probably even add to them to my endless bucket list. And I think you should do your own bucket list. It’s great way to keep all your dreams in one place π

Amazing bucket list, honestly! Maybe I shound snitch some of your “plans” for my own π
According to Cities, more concrete: Sydney, Australia: There are FAR better and more exciting Cities down here. But to be even more honest with you: I my opinion, don’t come to Australia for the cities cause they’re pretty much like every other City: boring. But come here for the stunning nature, waterfalls, the Outback, Kangaroos and what ever you can find in Australia. Just saying π
Otherwise just take me with you when you’re working on decreasing your bucket list, ok?! π
See you, Saskia xxx

Haha these items on my bucket list are meant to be shared! π
I will remember your trips for Australia. My mine reason to want to visit there is fact the nature because I totally fell in love with it when learning about it in school. Let’s both archive our travel dreams and maybe we will meet somewhere in this world π

In that case: definitely go and see You’re and everything around it and I would even suggest the west coast more than the East Coast π it’s more… stunning!
But in the following weeks I’ll write about all my experiences and places to be in Australia on my blog, so maybe you wanna check it out ππ
And who knows what will happen in the future ππ£

A long but definitely doable list. Vietnam should be in it too π. Couchsurfing isn’t that intimidating, just pick very experienced hosts and read their profiles very carefully. Good luck!!! I’m looking toward to seeing you ticking these items one by one!!!
